Thanks to the Green Lizard bike shop, Herndon Middle School, the Herndon Masons and so many individual donors who braved the weather to donate 138 bikes today, plus lots of parts and accessories. We had a great crew from Herndon Friends Meeting -- Fred, Darcy, Marylin, Peter, Melody, Maya, Kevin, Ghazal, Harry, Christine, Dave, Inga, Margaret and more. Local church leaders posted notices of the event in their mailings to parishioners. Thanks to Keith, Todd, and Yvette from Bikes for the World, the nonprofit we support that has shipped more than 200,000 bikes overseas in the last 20+ years. These bikes will be headed shortly to Costa Rica.
